Early this week Jefferson posted an interesting interview with Carson Daly about the approach his television program takes to production. It was awesome to...

Love Letters To The End and Lumineux

A few weeks ago we came across a very interesting project that was using Lumineux in some of it’s footage. The footage looked great, but it was the idea that impressed us most. We got a chance to talk with Love Letters To The End’s Peter Dean about his project and working with Lumineux. Can...

The latest update for Final Cut Pro launched midday yesterday. 10.0.4 features mostly minor performance fixes. They’ve improved the broadcast monitoring and multi-cam performance and added Simplified Chinese support. While this may not be the most massive update, it’s fantastic to see Apple taking such an active role in FCP X. Within less than a...

5D Mark III Moire, Low Light and Jello Test.

Tõnis Liivamägi posted a low light, moire and jello effect test using ISO 3600 1080p footage straight from a preproduction 5D Mark III. I’d suggest downloading the footage to get the full effect (on Vimeo it only streams in 720p.) It’s interesting to see how well it performs. Much less moire than expected. Definitely worth...
